Our Story

Hi, I’m Sanjay, and I founded Spice Kitchen in 2012 as a retirement hobby for my mum Shashi. We were talking over the dinner table on Christmas Day, and Mum was saying she wanted something to keep her occupied. Because she is an amazing home cook, I suggested she start selling her spice blends and tins (aka Masala Dabbas).


That seed of (what I now refer to as a silly idea) took on a life of its own, and Spice Kitchen now gives mum and I the chance to share our love of spices and shared mealtimes. I am beyond grateful I get to do this with mum. If you want to know more about us, you can read our story here.
