Succulent prawns, spiced and grilled to perfection are one of our favourite reasons for being alive!
700g prawns, peeled,deveined & tails left on
4-6 bamboo skewers soaked in water(if using metal, then no soaking needed)
3 tbsp olive oil
Zest of 1 lemon
Juice of 2 lemons
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp ground turmeric
2 tsp sesame seeds
1 tsp salt
1/4 teaspoon chilli powder
1/4 tsp ground ginger
Mix together the olive oil, lemon zest, garlic, turmeric, sesame seeds, ground ginger, salt,and chilli powder in a bowl. Add the prawns, and combine to coat evenly with the marinade.Leave in the bowl for 30 minutes.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, making sure you oil the grill before adding the prawns so they cook well and don’t stick.
Skewer the prawns and place on the grill and cook for 3 minutes on each side.
