Succulent prawns, spiced and grilled to perfection are one of our favourite reasons for being alive!
700g prawns, peeled, deveined & tails left on
4-6 bamboo skewers soaked in water (if using metal, then no soaking needed)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 2 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 teaspoon chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
Mix together the olive oil, lemon zest, garlic, turmeric, sesame seeds, ground ginger, salt, and chilli powder in a bowl. Add the prawns, and combine to coat evenly with the marinade. Leave in the bowl for 30 minutes.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, making sure you oil the grill before adding the prawns so they cook well and don’t stick. Skewer the prawns and place on the grill and cook for 3 minutes on each side. Serve immediately with a light salad.
