Turmeric Latte by Neha D'Souza
After trying many of these lattes I think I prefer my version. It has depth and has different flavours coming through.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 tsp Spice Kitchen turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Spice Kitchen masala chai mix
- 1 mug of milk
- honey to taste
- couple of flakes of saffron (optional)
Method
- heat some milk in a pan
- add all the ingredients apart from the saffron
- let this simmer for 5 minutes (stir occasionally)
- pour into a mug and garnish with saffron (this gives it a lovely smell)
Spice Kitchen’s masala chai mix has a combination of rose petals, cardamom, black pepper, ginger, cloves, fennel and cinnamon.
This combined with tumeric makes the perfect warming latte.
You can use almond milk too but I like to stick to the original stuff.
