Influenced by the heritage of British craftsmanship, this small batch contemporary spiced rum has been designed to provoke a sophisticated experience for the senses, from its iconic bottle to its silky texture, intense aroma and exceptional taste. 

Hand-crafted through a bespoke process, Draper's double distil sugar molasses imported from the Caribbean, gently extracting the sensational character from nine hand-picked botanicals including ginger, cinnamon and black pepper. 

Enhancing the signature notes with smoked oak chips before refining with cocoa, vanilla and caramel to produce an elegant finish.

Overview

Drapers England was born from the heritage of its founders who started their craft in traditional bespoke tailoring and garment making. The family-owned, bespoke tailoring boutique holds a unique and intriguing secret – by day, they create beautiful bespoke garments worn by a discerning clientele.

By night, the studio space flips into a hidden speakeasy. Behind the changing room curtain, you'll find an energetic buzz from a packed room, serving the finest cocktails and an independent spirit collection. Live jazz sets the mood, whilst ice cubes clinking in glasses filled with Drapers Pink Gin or Smoked Oak and Vanilla Spiced Rum. The sweet alluring sound of the saxophone fills the room as the secret jazz club plays into the night.

Drawing influence from the roaring 1920s speakeasy culture and the family history steeped in the art of fine bespoke tailoring, 'The Makers' Jamila Juma-Ware and Matthew Wignall have designed a luxury spirit range which mirrors their passion. The botanical pattern of each distillation reflects their cultural heritage - from the spices and rich flavours of Western Africa and North American-inspired smoke to the seasonal fruits of Sicily, rounded off with botanicals rooted in the heart of Yorkshire, where the collection is distilled and bottled.

Each bottle is carefully crafted to excite the senses, an unexpected marriage of ingredients, four times distilled to produce the taste of pure silk.

Attention to detail runs through every thread of these exciting distillations. The beautiful bottle and its label takes influence from a classic jacket lapel, etched onto the strong shoulders of each bottle, illustrating a tailor's muse. The bold patterns draw inspiration from the latest fabric trends, whilst their label is carefully printed on embossed Savile Row tweed paper.

SHIPPING

  • We pride ourselves on quick dispatching and aim to ship the same day where we can.
  • We operate a strict midday cut-off for all orders
  • All delivery options operate on weekdays only, so all orders placed on a Friday will be delivered on a Monday at the earliest. We don't offer Saturday or Sunday delivery options or an option to collect.
  • We offer free shipping to all UK destinations on all total orders over £14.95. This is normally by Royal Mail 2nd Class for items up to 2kg and takes 3 - 5 working days (if there is no strike action or other national delay taking place)
  • A tracking number is provided by Royal Mail but it does not provide information en route. It only gets scanned before orders are delivered, held at depot due to non delivery or returned to us if the address is incorrect.
  • International delivery is calculated after purchase on a case by case basis. We have a placeholder £20 shipping charge however we may be in touch after purchase with an updated shipping cost.
  • We offer an expedited £1.06 1st class Royal Mail service which normally takes 1-2 working days (again, if there is no strike action or other national delay taking place)
  • We do also offer a £7.54 next day courier service with Royal Mail and Parcelforce.
  • From time to time, we do make mistakes and miss your express shipping options, and also fall out of stock after you have placed your order. We will try and refund you for any extra shipping on these occasions or in full as soon as possible.
  • For international orders, buyers are liable for all import taxes, custom charges and VAT for international orders, and also for any orders returned to us after non collection or customs refusal. Failure to do this may result in items not being requested to be released, destroyed or further legal action.

RETURNS

  • For non faulty items, return postage is at the buyers expense, though a full refund on the item cost will be given. Refunds will be given on all items within 7 days of receipt, subject to them being in an unused condition.
  • For faulty items, items can be returned to us using our Tracked Returns service: http://www.royalmail.com/track-my-return/create/4250
  • A collection can be then organised using this link: https://send.royalmail.com/collect/youritems
  • For faulty items, refunds will not be issued under any circumstances should the items not be returned to us.
  • For faulty items we exercise the right to offer a replacement or full refund.
  • Items are no longer eligible for return after 7 days of purchase and are considered final sale.
  • Refunds are credited to the original form of payment.
  • Any fees associated with shipping will not be refunded (unless the item is faulty). We reserve the right to charge a £5 fee to cover our outgoing postage and packing costs for non faulty items.
  • Threats of negative reviews in order to push for refunds or other outcomes will not be tolerated under any circumstances and will negate any offer for a replacement or refund.
